Ranking for Computer Science:
The 2020 6th edition of Top Scientists Ranking for Computer Science & Electronics was prepared by Guide2Research, one of the leading portals for computer science research providing trusted data on scientific contributions since 2015.
The ranking represents h-index, DBLP and citations values gathered by May 16th 2020
Our key analysis is the Top Scientists Ranking, which is a definitive list of leading scientists from the field of computer science and electronics, based on a detailed examination of more than 6000 profiles on Google Scholar and DBLP.
Read More...The h-index threshold for accepting a scientist to be examined is set to 40 provided that most of their publications are in the area of computer science and indexed in DBLP. The threshold was chosen based on the recommendation by J. E. Hirsch, PhD in his “An index to quantify an individual's scientific research output” paper that an h-index of 40 characterizes outstanding scientists.
We want to ensure that only genuine scientists are included in the ranking. That is why we also manually verify every profile and cross-correlate it against various reputable sources like DBLP. While it’s not a metric defining a scientist’s position in the ranking, the number of documents indexed on DBLP should provide a reliable secondary indication of their contribution to research.
Position in the ranking is based on each scientist’s influential contributions based on their h-index from Google Scholar, which is the largest and well-accepted bibliometric database of this type available to the scientific community. A detailed description of our research process can be found on our methodology page.
Our goal is to inspire researchers, entrepreneurs, and decision-makers across the world to explore where leading experts are heading and to provide an opportunity for all of us to know who the leading experts in various research areas, in different countries, or even within research institutions are.
